HD Tune (622k)
Best little hard disk utility we have seen. And 'no cost' too! Specs, SMART report, and error checking. Even adds a HDD temp reading to toolbar if you want. Great for notebooks. We are going to make use compulsory for Service Agents with HDD problems.

Ella Anti-spam Software (14mb)
Excellent powerful and flexible 'no cost' anti-spam and filtering software. Doesn't delete or block emails; instead you train it which emails you regard as spam (and which emails you want to read later), and it automatically puts them in separate Folders waiting for your action (delete, read, file, etc).

Mailwasher Anti-spam Software (8mb)
Powerful server-side anti-spam software. Filters email on mail server.
Has learning ability, checks 'black list' sites. Also has a friends list and user-defined
Rules to help tailor to get better and more accurate results. We started using
MW as well as Ella to stop the hundreds of daily Spam reaching our InBoxes. Importantly,
MW will also generate automatic bounces of spam, which dramatically cuts down
on your spam. We did not want to use a 'white-list' tool that send out confirmation
emails. After a period training and fine-tuning rules and filters, you can then
set MW to automatic filtering. We had some problem with crashing that seem to
be related to POP connectivity to POP accounts, but when we changed setting (back
to) 'Simultaneous Checking' and not 'Sequential Checking', for some reason rather
than make things worse (which we thought), all connectivity and crashing problems
miraculously completely went away.

Beyond Compare (2.6mb)
A great file/folder synching utility. We use it to synch our Web sites too.And we just discovered the Viewer feature that displays & colour coded individual file differences, and is even better because a small pane show just where the difference are located in file. We were even able to compare files and code differences on different files on the Web server by using FTP on both sides of file & dir panels.

SuperFileSynch (4.6mb)
Another different disk synching software. We use this, instead of BeyondCompare, to synch internal backups (because it tracks file moves as well) and lots of other advanced features too. Extremely powerful, but be careful to check all settings.

Advanced Find & Replace (1.2mb)
Super software. With just the first time I used it, in 15 minutes, it saved me 20-40 hours of work by doing global replace/s of text strings across the whole NWS IDS Web app. Just an awesome time-saver.
