SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS
ABOUT HOW NWS
SERVICE WORKS
*** The Reseller
always gets
warranty work
for their own
systems - for
which they are
paid for - if
the systems
are local to
Reseller and
if the Reseller
does on-site
service and
if the Reseller
wants to do
that particular
job.
*** All NWS
warranties (except
'pick-up &
return' warranties)
have instant
'forward shipment'
or supply of
replacement
parts for fast
repair. No waiting
for RAs.
*** NWS assume
a minimum manu
parts warranty
of 12 months
for all parts
costing more
than $50.
*** If the Reseller
is also doing
the paid NWS
warranty service
work, for the
first 12 months
(for the first
12 months, they
supply replacement
parts (prior
to any subsequent
RA).
*** If the Reseller
is not doing
service work,
NWS pays for,
or supplies,
replacement
parts, and ships
faulty parts
back to the
Reseller for
RA to distributor
(and subsequent
return to NWS).
*** After 12
months, NWS
pays for, or
supplies, all
replacement
parts (even
when they are
still under
manu parts warranty).
*** Absolutely
NO 'use by'
dates on NWS
warranties!
All NWS warranties
start at date
of retail sale
regardless of
when that is,
whereas some
warranty companies
void or 'run
down' unused
(but paid for)
warranties after
a few months,
which we regard
as unethical,
probably illegal,
and in any case
very poor business
practice.
So you can
sell/use NWS
warranties two
years after
your purchase,
and the warranty
still starts
at the date
of retail sale.
*** Unlike other
warranty companies,
NWS Service
Agents get paid
within 7 days
of returning
Job Sheet, faulty
parts (if applicable),
and Invoice.
(And NWS does
not constantly
'lose' paperwork
and parts.)

or courier.

protector or
UPS that actually
does the job

away a cheap
one, one, is

sell your customer
a decent surge
protector or
UPS - and make
a margin at
the same time.

*** NWS warranty
conditions now
state that each
system under
warranty must
have a quality
functioning
Surge Protector
or UPS. This
condition has
been added for
the customers'
protection -
from costs,
loss of data,
and downtime.
So obviously
this gives you
a chance to

wholesale volume

Our costs -
and therefore
our prices -
are based on
failure rates,
parts costs,
service costs
(and parts freight
costs). Volume
is not really
a factor.
An order for
200 warranties
for systems
built with cheap
parts and/or
poorly assembled
and/or poorly
QA'd, just means

service costs!

lose lots of
